Having had hip probs. for a long time, I was seen by Mr.Chatenya-Chauhan in clinic and immediately he made me feel at ease. His manner and concern made feel that I was his only patient. He explained the alternative procedures, to which I replied that I did not wish to go down the hip replacement route, due to my age. I was taken aback when Mr. C.agreed, then he went on to explain the procedure he proposed. This involved the drilling into the hip and inserting a gel to the area that was starved of any fluid. This was explained to me in a very simple form, yet thorough. I found Mr.Chatenya -Chauhan a truly great guy and I was not daunted in any way to attend the day stay at Southend Hospital. SORRY I almost forgot the outcome is absolutely FINE !!! Thanks again Mr. C.

I first met Mr Chauhan in May 2021 with a view to injections in my arthritic knee, an MRI was recommended and Mr Chauhan said a full knee replacement was needed. Due to other commitments this was then arranged for 12th January 2022. The operation was a complete success and six weeks on I am 75% back to normal walking without aid and climbing stairs normally. And best of all pain free! I had the greatest confidence in Mr Chauhan from the first time of meeting and the care he gives and attentiveness to his patients is second to none. His team are first rate and made me feel totally at ease in the theatre and the physio at the London Independent has got me back on my feet sooner than I expected. I cant thank him enough and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs knee surgery.
