Mr. Gibbon was refreshingly honest, listened to us and our daughter, was instrumental in having our daughter Certified as Sight Impaired. He and our daughter's ROVIC (Rehabilitaion of Visually Impaired Children's Officer) who works alongside him at his clinics on Friday, Lauren Sillence, has gone above and beyond. Excellent team, with great communication. I cannot recommend them both highly enough! Our daughter was diagnosed late in her life, she has a significant sight, hearing and touch impairment, without these people, I don't know where we would be now. So often we hear doctors and nurses and other services being rubbished in the press. I'd like to say that with the correct funding in the majority of cases I feel this would be a very different story. Our daughter now uses a cane in her everyday life, which has made a huge difference to her, she also uses a personal Frequency Modulation System (to aid her with listening and hearing) we had to fight long and hard for this equipment (another service completely) even so, the ROVIC Team, Sue Pilkington and Lauren Sillence, helped us to access this equipment by speaking on our behalf! This team need a medal as big as a frying pan! Thank you! Mr. Caspar Gibbon, Sue Pilkington (ROVIC Lead) and Lauren Sillence (ROVIC Orientation and Mobility) Huge thanks, keep doing what you're doing, all of you! Mandy, Andy and Holly Jane Bell.
