I didn't meet Mr Ramsay until the day of the surgery. He seemed very pleasant. The pre-surgery chat seemed a bit rushed but I understand how busy the hospital is. I was told that the surgery was successful, however I had a post-op infection and 6 months down the line now and I'm still in pain that wasn't there before the surgery. I've not seen Mr Ramsay since the day of the surgery and feel that the aftercare therefore is not acceptable.

Ruined my life I am in such pain and my quality of life isnt what I had. It has robbed me of a decent life and if he knew it wasnt the right hospital or he wasnt the right person for the operation why do it? Never heard from him since but he can go on with his life I cant! I ended up having a second operation and there is lots wrong that hasnt been addressed. I hope one day I find out what the cause of my pain is and what happened in surgery ? I am sorry I cant be positive or say wonderful things but been left damaged and scarred

What I would like to say is all went great in surgery but it did not. Care given to me before surgery was excellent . Mr Ramsey is a nice man with good sense of humour . Unfortunately I needed 2 operations and the powers to be, need to accept that My surgery should of been at Addenbrookes . I have been left with medical problems and in pain this has affected my daily life and now I feel I just exist rather than live . There has been a whole category of difficulties and problems and I have been left at present wishing I never had surgery even though I have/had cancer. Mr Ramsey felt surgery should be done at Cambridge and he was right. I felt awkward and at the time I couldnt understand why I was made to feel like he did not want to do my surgery but I think it was because he had my best interests at heart or thought it was best for me. The thing that Has annoyed me is that I have never heard from him since and none of his staff have contacted me either I feel badly let down and thats a shame ! I would love to be giving him such a great review but honestly I just cant!

Explained things very well and put me at ease. I felt like he went above and beyond to offer me my operation when there are long waiting lists and I really appreciate this. Great bedside manner.

Mr Ramsay is a skilful and experienced surgeon, who cares about his patients. I found him to be professional and compassionate with a friendly bedside manner and a good sense of humour. It has been two weeks since my operation and my recovery is going well. He came to see me the morning after my operation and took the time to explain how the procedure went and answered any questions. I really appreciate what he has done for me.
