I had my surgery on the 22nd of September 2022. In my initial consultation with Dr Ivanov, he listened to my concerns right away regarding my umbilical hernia and diastasis recti, within 5 minutes of seeing me, he examined my hernia and told me he was going to help me and he did just that. Mr Ivanov and the team at Rivers hospital were nothing short of amazing. The care provided to me was amazing and I am happy with my results. Dr Ivanov is a fantastic Doctor! And I would highly recommend him and Rivers Hospital!

Mr Ivanov listened to my issues with a severe Umbilical Hernia which required urgent repair. He arranged surgery at the earliest time available and put me at ease regarding how routine the procedure was. Mr Ivanov is a very pleasant gentleman who has a vast experience of dealing with such medical conditions. I felt totally confident he was going to fix my problem in a timely and professional manner. Due to circumstances way beyond his control my operation had to be postponed (twice) due to my own personal issues which were eventually addressed. At no time through several months of delay did I ever think Mr Ivanov would not complete the job once I had resolved my issues. And so it was that my operation finally took place on May 23rd 2022 with a perfect outcome. Our final meeting today (may 25th) was to remove temporary dressings and a drain which went as smooth as possible leaving me a very satisfied and delighted ex-patient. Mr Ivanov ended our meeting by explaining the Post-Op after care available should I feel I need to see someone. I totally recommend Mr Ivanov based on my brilliant experience and, if need be, use this surgeon again should the situation arise.

This surgeon had no bedside manner whatsoever, he was rude , unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable . I had a infection which was result of a cosmetic procedure , regardless of his thoughts on this at the end of the day I am a human being and should not be treated any differently or with any less compassion just because he did not agree with the cosmetic procedure . He was not interested in listening to me or answering questions. Everything was rushed and I feel truly upset about my experience with him.

I had my gallbladder removed laproscopically and had total confidence in Mr Ivanov. He listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions before surgery and put my mind at rest. I am fully recovered now 2 weeks later and wish I had had it done years ago. Highly recommend this surgeon.
