Have seen Mr Purbach for many years now first with my mother and now with my wife. If you have; particularly, a hip problem there's only one man in country I'd trust to put the problem right. Mr Purbach was trained at Wrrightington by Professor Wroblewski. Another man in a million.

My husband saw Mr Purbach yesterday at Wrightington Hospital - he was friendly, approachable and explained clearly what needed to be done for my husband. He even advised that another doctor would be more accomplished to perform the surgery my husband needs to fix his knee I would certainly recommend this doctor.

Mr Purbach is quite simply the best orthopaedic surgeon. I have been fortunate enough to have been under his care since 2005. During that time he has carried out complex procedures on my hip, the last of which was 2weeks ago. There is no denying that Wrightington hospital is a centre of excellence and employs the best surgeons. Mr Purbach is so skillful, always professional and goes above and beyond what could reasonably be expected but along with that, he has an innate ability to put you at ease, makes you feel like you matter and despite his busy schedule gives you the time to discuss any fears. I cannot recommend this wonderful surgeon and his fantastic team highly enough and although it seems very inadequate I would like to say thank you!

Me Purbach revised both my hips 3 and 4 years ago. I could not have asked for more successful treatment and given this was the third time in my life I’ve had my hips revised that’s saying a lot. I was born with congenital hip dislocation and was in frog plasters between the ages of 3 and 6 with a second series of operations in my early 30’s. He has a reassuring manner and gives clear explanations with realistic expectations. Many many thanks to him and all the team. I cannot thank him and his team enough.

My 88 year old Mum has now had both her knee and her hip replaced by Mr. Purbach. She adores him and I think he is pretty fab too. He has been so kind and patient with her even though she is terribly deaf and always anxious. He gives her time to talk despite being obviously very busy.
