During our first consultation, concerning my double inguinal hernia operation, Bilal put my mind at rest and treated me with great courtesy. The operation was a success with just a bit of soreness and tenderness for a few days. For anybody about to undergo this operation, relax and rest assured you are in very good hands. As a doctor myself I can be a difficult patient and believe I am a good judge of character. From the outset I was put at ease and felt confident in Mr. Alkhaffaf's abilities. His manner is excellent and even though I am a doctor I am not a surgeon and he explained the operation in an easily understandable way. When complications developed before the surgery he sorted out further investigations and interventions even over a busy Christmas period. The operation itself was not quite routine and I felt confident that I was in 'the right hands' throughout. Obviously hope never to need his services again but would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Mr Alkhaffaf was very professional and friendly and outlined the options very clearly. I felt confident in his care. He and the anaesthetist spoke to me before the procedure and reported to me afterwards. Although I only spent 12 hours at the Spire Hospital, i was impressed by the standard of care and attention by all the staff. Following the 6 week review, I was discharged and have recovered very well.

On my initial consultation with Dr Alkhaffaf he explained in detail what had happened regarding the hernia and what methods of surgery were available to repair the hernia. After explaining the pro’s & con’s I chose the Laparoscopic mesh repair. On the day of the operation again everything was explained to me what the procedure would be. I found the whole experience to be very pleasant and suffered no ill effects which reflects the skill of Dr Alkhaffaf and the care from staff at the Alexandra. I found Dr Alkhaffaf to be very informative, professional and approachable. I would highly recommend Dr Alkhaffaf and the Alexandra Hospital.
