I was suffering from hiatus hernia which subsequently I suffered from severe Heartburn & indigestion for about 10 years. I had my operation done by Mr AlKhaffaf early in May 2023 and so far all my symptoms have completely disappeared (12 weeks since my operation) the operation took about 1.5 hours and I managed to get back to work after 5 days.

I booked a consultation with Mr Alkhaffaf after reading so many great reviews of his work in the bariatric community. I live in Staffordshire and there were options for me to have weight loss surgery closer to home, but after my consultation I was so impressed with Mr Alkhaffaf that I knew immediately he was the surgeon for me. He has a great bedside manner, I didn’t feel that my questions were silly after all, he took great care in me understanding all the medical jargon and put my mind at ease. I had my surgery through Ramsay at Oaklands hospital on the day of my surgery I met Mr Alkhaffaf in person for the first time and again he made me feel very at ease, and was very friendly and polite, he was very straight talking and told me the risks in great detail but also told me about the benefits of the surgery, the surgery as changed my life for the better, and I will always be grateful for Mr Alkhaffaf in helping me get a new start in life.

I cannot praise Mr Alkhaffaf enough, from start to finish he has been a true professional. He was compassionate, thorough and I felt completely at ease from my very first consultation. I had amazing care post-op from the lovely clinical team and all in all the process was seamless. Dr Alkhaffaf has literally changed my life. I have lost over 7 stone in a year, i feel physically and mentally so much better - i am active, back to playing sports i love and experiencing new adventures in life i never thought possible when i was overweight. My confidence has grown no end and continues to do so. I contacted Mr Alkhaffaf regarding a long standing acid reflux disorder I had. Mr Alkhaffaf was very easy to speak to and clearly explained all of the options open to me. After a lot of my own research, I opted to accept the recommendation of Linx surgery at the Spire Manchester Hospital. I was looked after very well throughout the entire stay at the hospital, Mr Alkhaffaf came to see me before surgery and then again after to explain what he had done and what to expect. Recovery took around 6 months which was largely uneventful, I honestly think this was a direct result of Mr Alkhaffaf's experience and care throughout to ensure any post operative side effects would be at a minimum. Thanks to both Mr Alkhaffaf and to his secretary Kay for all their support and assistance.
