We recently decided to get my partner's cyst removed privately & were given a selection of plastic surgeon's. We went with Dr Ben Baker eventually and he did not disappoint! From the get go Mr Baker was so polite, accomodating to our needs & listened to my partners concerns with execptional empathy..We can't recommend him highly enough and we would definitely use him again in the future should we have any further requirements.

I would highly recommend Mr Benjamin Baker. I had two skin lesions removed today and I was completely put at ease. The procedure was painless and back working now.

After being back and forth for over 5 years as soon as Dr Baker had taken over my case we met for the first time in which he introduced himself and explained he would be taking over from my previous Dr. Mr Baker was very friendly, professional and shown interest and understanding surrounding my injury he then explained his plan and offered reassurance in what to expect and any risks within regards to the surgery I was then awaiting a surgery which came much quicker than I had actually expected on the day of the surgery Mr Baker and his team were all great, my anxiety was at ease I was reassured and although I had not had high expectations for the results after having previous treatments and surgery before I must say the difference straight after coming round was amazing and of course as time has gone on it just kept getting better and better. The overall appearance of the main focus of my injury which had really knocked my confidence, affected my clothing choices and had also taken a toll on my mental health as well as everything else in my life has now improved so much. Although my injury will never fully go and will always have an effect on me due to the circumstances in which it occured I am so grateful for the work Mr Baker has done. I had my follow up appointment and finally after 5 years have now been discharged ready to go forward with my life and work on getting my confidence back without having to look at that awful part that was the bane of my life for so long. A huge thankyou to Mr Baker he is a great addition to the hospital and anyone going forward having surgery from him are in safe hands his work is amazing.

Dr Baker has been extremely helpful with the treatment I have received for removal of an Epidermoid cyst in my inner thigh, that has been causing me pain for some time. From my initial consultation, the cyst was removed within two weeks and I am now pain free. Dr Baker explained fully the procedure, in a very caring way.

My doctor is Benjamin Baker (MB). From the first time I met with MB, he was extremely professional whilst being personable and reassuring. Both myself and my husband felt very listened to and MB spent time explaining the detail related to my operation and what I could expect regarding both the operation and recovery time. I came away from our meeting feeling 100% confident in MB, I felt I trusted him and his team and the advice he provided regarding which procedure was best for me, seemed to make perfect sense. I opted for a DIEP Flap on both breasts as I have the BRCA2 Gene. On the day of my operation everything ran perfectly to time. I was seen immediately and introduced to all of the team, this was very reassuring. Following my operation the aftercare was outstanding. The medical team was consistent and I saw the same medics on a rotation basis. When I attended my 8 weeks follow up appointment, it was MB whom I saw, together with the breast nurse whom I'd met previously - they were both very positive with the outcome of my surgery and also my recovery. I will have a further follow up appointment in 3 months to discuss any "tweaks" to my breasts which I may wish to consider. I am extremely pleased with the aesthetic results of my operation and feel informed and positive about potential next steps. I have made a good recovery and was able to go on a skiing holiday 9 weeks after my operation - I skied as normal and felt no ill effects. I would rate MB and his team 10 out of 10 and would recommend the DIEP flap to other women.

Mr Baker gained my confidence and trust almost immediately as he put me at ease with his down to earth manner and clear explanation of the procedure. I was given plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to answer questions he posed in full. I soon realised that Mr Baker was keen to achieve the result that I wanted and at no time did I feel judged for my decision or cajoled into anything. The risks, recovery time and limitations of the surgery were explained to me and my expectations of the procedure were managed and so I had no surprises. The surgery went to plan and I could not be happier with the result. During my check up I was asked whether my main goal of being able to wear a 'normal' off the shelf bra had been achieved, which it had. This simple question made me realise that he had listed to what I wanted the most during our first consultation and checked back with me to ensure this had been achieved. The only constructive suggestion I can think of may not apply to everyone. I have felt tired and slept a lot since the surgery. Maybe, suggest to patients that it might be a possibility if it is quite normal.

After multiple operations for breast cancer, the resulting major disfigurement was a constant visual reminder of how ugly cancer can be. Meeting Mr Baker to see what/if anything could be done to improve the disfigurement was my final glimmer of hope. His calm, careful explanation of what was possible was not only inspiring, it reinstated the confidence I had lost (but had learned to hide well). September 23rd 2024, Mr Bakers patience, skill, dedication and professionalism, turned something quite ugly into something quite beautiful. Thank you will never be enough. Kath Jolley
