Mr Spiegelberg treated me with a hip replacement, to say the care and understanding I received was fantastic is an understatement. All appointments were on time and carried out in a professional and friendly manner. My operation was a success and I now walk with no pain whatsoever so o couldn’t be more grateful

I would like to thank Mr Ben Spiegelberg and all the staff at Spire Bushey Hospital for looking after me so well. I’m 89 years old and had a total hip replacement in mid-October, I’m now driving again and walking my dog twice a day, I’m free of pain and feel I have regained my independence.

Ben Spiegelberg truly stands out as an exceptional surgeon. His diligence and thorough approach provided me with a sense of confidence throughout the entire process. As a 47-year-old male grappling with multiple meniscus tears in my right knee, daily life was significantly impacted—I couldn't engage in football, run, or walk up or down inclines without experiencing considerable pain.
Ben Spiegelberg's surgical expertise and commitment to addressing my specific issues were evident from the beginning. The operation to correct the meniscus tears was conducted with precision and care. Now, post-surgery, the improvement in my condition is remarkable. I am no longer in pain and walking without a limp. Dr. Spiegelberg is an excellent surgeon, and consummate professional. I came to him almost 3 years ago regarding both of my knees, which had deteriorated so badly from advanced osteoarthritis that simply walking was a challenge.
Upon getting MRI's on both knees and seeing the extreme condition that I was in, he looked me in the eye and said, "We're going to fix you". I immediately felt relief with light at the end of the tunnel.
And he did fix me with TKR in both knees. My quality of life has improved so significantly that I am back in the gym and doing almost every activity (except rugby) that I was engaged in prior to the problems with my knees. I am extremely happy with the entire journey that he led me through.

Mr. Ben Spiegelberg is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in adult hip and knee surgery. He underwent specialist training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and subsequent Specialist Registrar training on the Oxford registrar rotation centred at Oxford University. He spent a year in Canada on the internationally renowned University of Western Ontario Adult Reconstruction Fellowship program prior to being appointed Consultant at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Spiegelberg sees and treats many orthopaedic conditions and fractures. His sub-specialty interests are hip and knee surgery, including knee and hip replacement, partial knee replacement, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), cartilage transplantation and revision (redo) joint replacements.
