I was admitted on 25th January 2023 to the dept. of neurosurgery, Queen’s hospital, Nottingham for an operation on a vascular tumour in my spinal cord. Unfortunately it was the second time this had occurred, the first being in 2016. Mr White explained in detail what would happen and also that scar tissue would mean it would be a more complicated operation with more risks involved. Although I felt very scared about what could be the outcome, Mr White allayed my fears somewhat by saying that he always considered how the patient would be affected for the rest of her life, rather than thinking the tumour must be completely removed. Mr White visited me regularly immediately after my surgery and listened to how I was feeling. He held my hand, literally and mentally and definitely started me on the first stages of my recovery. I will be forever grateful to him and thankful I received his wonderful skills and care.

I was admitted to queens medical center on the 22nd of March for an operation on my neck. This was a planned operation to be done by Mr White. He was very thorough when talking me through what was to be done and although I was extremely nervous I went to sleep confident that he would look after me. I woke up to be looked after by the team on ward D11. I cannot fault the treatment and care that Mr White and all his team have given me. I was treated with dignity and respect in every part of my care. I wish to thank Mr White and his team for restoring my faith in a very troubled NHS. To anyone who may need treatment under Mr White I would say that u can put all your trust in him and his team. Thank u again to u all.

I was transferred to Queens Medical centre from Lincoln A and E in the early hours of 18th January. Mr White was at my bedside very quickly explaining that I had suffered an aneurysm, what surgery would be necessary and possible outcomes. I cannot thank Mr White and all the staff on D10 enough for all the care and treatment I received enabling me to return to a near normal life.Or it will be when DVLA allow me to drive. Post operative Mr White explained the procedure he had performed and on discharge told me what to expect whilst recuperating. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart

It is his administrative team I am concerned about. Why did it take a month to post a letter?? I was kept waiting for this letter every day going to my letter box in hope of receiving it. The stress and worry this has caused me is unacceptable. If only i could rate Mr Whites team. Would be a very different amount of stars

My father was admitted to QMC on 19 December 2022 with a benign spinal tumour. Prior to meeting Mr White, we were at our wits’ end and ambivalent about the course of action that needed to be taken. However, within a few minutes, Mr White managed to impart upon us the necessary reassurance and confidence that we much required. Mr White is a neurosurgeon that invests in his patients’ wellbeing; and we are very fortunate (and indeed deeply grateful) to have crossed paths with such an able, experienced, committed and dedicated professional. Thank you Mr White. Mr A Abdulhusein
