I am a young male who was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. I had contact with Mr Chappell, who diagnosed me, and Mr Woodhams, who conducted the surgery. I was extremely anxious about the situation, but was diagnosed and operated on quickly. The speed of the appointments and procedure really helped me to deal with the situation and resulted in me being in a much more positive frame of mind throughout. I can’t thank both Gentlemen enough for their time in helping me come to terms with the diagnosis, and talking me through the processes.

I have been referred twice to Mr Chappell and both times I was reassured because he was extremely thorough and diligent in investigating my problem.I trusted him implicitly. I found that he was very kind and easy to talk to. My consultations were never rushed as he took time to listen to me.I was treated me with sensitivity and understanding by him - especially when I underwent a couple of procedures. Although I was prescribed medication, Mr Barnaby suggested that I be referred to another consultant to undergo a course of Uromone vaccinations. I have now finished the Course and been free of symptoms for 9 months. (I had no side-effects from it.) I consider that I was very lucky to be seen by him.

Mr Chappell was always very kind, gentle and sensitive to my needs. Patiently he gave me a lot of time as we discussed my problems and explored treatment options. Reassuringly, he ensured that I had all the appropriate tests to determine that my condition was not life-threatening as my problems were persistent and ongoing. I felt very lucky that I was under his care and trusted his judgement implicitly. He prescribed a life-long course of treatment that is helpful and referred me to another consultant for a short specialist course of treatment to work alongside. I have now been free of treatment for 8.5 months and feel really good.
