Mr Rana has replaced both my arthritic hips. From my first appointment to my second surgery he is truly professional and inspires faith and trust in both the diagnosis, treatment options and the full range of pros and cons of undertaking a double hip replacement. Usually these procedures would be 12 weeks apart, that was not possible due to COVID. Due to lengthy waiting times beyond his control I had many conversations with his lovely secretary Alison Gallacher. Such courteous and friendly conversations. To anyone suffering the pain and disability of hips that are needing replaced, I would say do not put it off, the pain will not go away. I cannot recommend Mr Rana highly enough. A caring man, and an excellent surgeon. You will be in safe hands.

I have had 2 Hip Replacements, 1 this year and 1 last year. Both operations were performed successfully by Mr Bardeep Rana at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow. I have now fully recovered and back to normal activities. I thank Mr Bardeep Rana for his great skill and would recommend this Consultant to anyone requiring Orthopedic Surgery

Mr Bardeep Rana is a wonderful orthopaedic surgeon. He discussed fully all the pros and cons of a hip replacement. He answered all my questions and advised of all replacement types/ options and what would be best for me although he let me decide what I wanted. I had total trust in Mr Rana going in for the operation in August 2015. My total hip joint replacement (ceramic) has been an amazing success and I thank Mr Rana so much for that. Before the op I could barely walk, stand or sit. I had difficulty driving, my whole life was affected by the awful pain. From waking from the operation I have suffered no more pain, and never taken another painkiller. My recuperation in New Southern General (HNHS Patient) was relatively easy, Mr Rana called in every day to check my progress and my family were great carers when I got home. I followed all his instructions and I would say every day there was an improvement and life was back to normal after about 12 weeks. I attended my sons wedding four weeks post op on crutches but not in pain and had a wonderful day. I have just returned recently from New York with my family sixteen weeks post op. Among other things I cycled round Central Park and walked 28 blocks of 5th Avenue shopping. This would all have been impossible before last August. If you know you need a hip replacement don't hesitate to trust Mr Rana and don't put it off, there is never a perfect time. Get your life back and enjoy it pain free.
