I was sent to Mr Arvin after all other avenues about my back and leg pain were exhausted. Meeting him for the first time he put me at ease straight away and explained to me what the procedure was going forward. He is very professional and genuinely cares for his patients. He performed a corpectomy on me earlier this year (which was successful) and he while I was recovering he visited me several times to see how I was feeling. He is a true gentleman and I thank him for his care and commitment.

Mr Arvin operated on me to save my life. I had had a fractured skull from a fall down the stairs. I was bleeding internally with a consequent increase in pressure on my brain which was life-threatening. His skill removed the haematoma and relieved the pressure on my brain. He kept my wife informed about what was happening. His calm and compassionate manner helped to console her at that anxious time. A few.months later, he operated on my skull a second time in order to reduce the incidences of acute pain I had been suffering. In between he had taken time to explain to us what was going on and we have felt his advice was based on experience and knowledge gained over many years. He was always prepared to explain any risks concerned with any proposed procedures and gave us complete confidence that his advice was to be adhered to. Happily, after his skilled intervention I'm on the way to full recovery. Every time we've met up since, I'm impressed by his compassion and empathy. Paradoxically, I'm going to miss seeing him again. Despite the fact I'm pleased he's confident enough to have discharged me from his care.
