I wanted to confirm in writing my utmost thanks for accepting my referral from Stoke Mandeville Hospital back in 2019 which led to the Foraminotomy on my C7 in March following the inevitable delays from Covid. From my first meeting with you, you took care to form your own assessment of my needs, making sure that every x-ray, MRI and CT scan was up to date at every stage and understood my pain and my symptoms, the inability to move my neck properly in each direction, the limitations of that movement and the pins and needles in my arm and hand that felt like somebody squeezing a bag of marbles until it popped. You explained at every appointment that surgery may or may not help me and could make it worse. Following your guidance that I would have a 60% chance of an improvement in my symptoms, I decided that 60% was better than 0% and that if I did not have the surgery, I would live the rest of my life in pain and discomfort, not knowing if your surgery would have made everything better. Your surgery was meticulous in every detail, taking note of, and dealing with any concerns that may have arisen from my newly diagnosed Bronchiectasis and the after care in the first 24 hours treated my whole body, not just my neck, asking the physio’s to assess my mobility for my hips and providing my elbow crutches. My whole experience with you and all of your team was perfect. No appointments were ever rushed, no clock watching as some do and keeping to allocated appointment slots, you spent much needed time with me, and were always polite and apologetic when appointments were delayed as you were tending to other patients. The mobility in my neck is now as it should be, I can rotate fully from side to side (previously restricted to about 45 degrees to the left) and I can look right up without any pain and without feeling dizzy. The headaches shooting up the left side of my head have gone. I anticipate that the pins and needles have also vanished but, as explained, I have been unable to decrease/come off the Gabapentin due to my hip injury and that it had been increased due to my hip disease. The surgery site healed perfectly and was back to normal at my interim appointment with no swelling (I treated it once the stitches were out with copious quantities of E45). I had suffered with my neck problems for 17 years and had been passed from pillar to post until I was seen by the Orthopaedic Surgery team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital who decided, when the surgeon discovered that my vertebral artery was in the wrong place and he couldn’t operate, to refer me to you. You have given me my life back. I just now need someone as nice as you to fix my hips. Thank you, and your whole team, again, so very very much for all that you have done for me. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone and should I need anything in your remit in the future then I only have one surgeon on my list. For clarity, I was seen at, and treated at The Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital in Headington, Oxford but I am unable to choose this hospital in the drop down list

Mr Chaudhary is very engaging and importantly he listens. He is thorough and takes his time to run through his diagnosis and is clearly a leader in his field of expertise. I have seen a lot of doctors over the years and my appointment with him was a pleasant and an informative experience.

Mr Chaudhary was warm and welcoming. He listened at length to my concerns, thoroughly explained his treatment plan, and was open and honest about what I could expect. He works with a very good team. All in all, he gave me great confidence and reassurance. And, most importantly, he delivered on those expectations.

I feel privileged to be in Mr Chaudhary's care. His ongoing review of my condition gives me the confidence to lead as normal a life as possible. I know that should my condition deteriorate rapidly necessitating urgent surgery, I will be in the safe hands of Mr Chaudhary and his team. I was seen at NOC
