A routine body CT scan showed calcification around my aortic valve and eventually I was diagnosed with Severe Aortic Stenosis abroad and was instructed to get my treatment as soon as possible. I had to return home (UK) immediately and after ECHO I was referred to Dr Nick Bunce. Dr Bunce is a great heart specialist who after reviewing my situation immediately referred me to Mr Aziz Momin (Consultant Cardiac Surgeon) at St George’s Hospital. I was extremely worried due to my condition but when I met with Mr Momin in January 2023 he very nicely explained all the options for me and put me at ease and I was confident that I’m being looked after a great surgeon having a great team. After a month I was called at the hospital for my angiogram that confirmed and added double bypass along with the aortic valve replacement. I was admitted in the hospital on 5 April 2023 and on 6 April 2023 I had my surgery. Everything went well and on 11 April I was discharged from the hospital. After a month I developed some infection in my left arm from where they took an artery for my bypass. I came to the A&E and I was quickly taken in and it was a great relief when I saw a doctor from Mr Momin’s team within minutes and she quickly admitted me back to the hospital. They treated my infection with great care and today on 9 May I’m being discharged from the hospital. With all my experience and my major surgery I can very confidently recommend Mr Aziz Momin that he is a jewel in the St George’s professional team of cardiac surgeons. He is highly proficient in his work and knows the art of his profession. He has a great and caring team to look after you and I wish them all every success on their every step of the way.

Dr Momin explained everything very clearly before the operation. He and the staff at the Cromwell Hospital were excellent attentive and provided superb care. Dr Momin visited me every day after the operation and everything went so smoothly I was discharged four days after the operation. The recovery continues to progress well. I would highly recommend Dr Momin

An excellent surgeon and as importantly supported by a great team at St Georges Hopital. Very clear explaining my options and the detail of the treatments both before, during and after hospital stay and operation. He was also was directly involved on the ward rounds and in all my meetings and discussions to agree my treatment. Which is rare and very appreciated. All explanations were easy for me to understand. Follow up to check on me has also been available and very appreciated. Aslo communications to ny doctor and local cardiac unit have been very timly and comprehensiev keeping eveyrbody well informed. No hesitation in recommending Mr Momin and his team and very thankful for him treating.

Mr Momin saw my husband at St George’s and performed bypass surgery on him in December 2022. We have nothing but praise for the way he treated and performed surgery on my husband. Everything was explained clearly and accurately. We have no hesitation in giving him the 5 stars he deserves. So from my hubby, a big thank you for saving his life
