Met Mr. Aziz for the first time, earlier this week. It was ‘only’ for a pre-op assessment conversation, so I can’t comment on anything more than that (i.e. he hasn’t operated on me yet). But based purely upon our open and candid exchange of views, his professional opinion and my own life choice(s), I have no qualms about entrusting him with the task of carving me open, re-engineering my heart and putting it all back together again. Naturally I can’t comment on his skills as a surgeon. I figure if it turns out he’s not very good, I won’t be able to give him a negative review afterwards anyway; the outcome of my op is fairly binary. But seriously, although I don’t have a well-used benchmark against which to measure cardio-thoracic surgeons, I’ve come away confident that Mr. Momin won’t screw it up. Don’t let me down, Aziz!

I was referred to Mr Momin to have an aortic valve replacement. As soon as I met him I felt very comfortable around him and he explained very clearly what operation I was going to have and why I needed to have it. I became very confident to undergo this operation with Mr Momin. I was scheduled to have the operation in a few weeks time but during this time I unfortunately fell and had to be admitted into A and E. He immediately expedited my operation date and the days prior to the operation when I was admitted in the ward he would visit me every day and that gave me even more confidence. He would clarify all my doubts and concerns and put me at ease. Even after the operation he took more care and ensured I left without any major issues. I am very grateful for Mr Momin and feel lucky that he was my consultant.

I recently had a triple bypass at Spire St Anthony’s. From our first meeting, Mr Momin explained everything to me in detail, answered any questions I had. He performed the surgery excellently and the aftercare I received was fantastic. Mr Monmin is extremely personable and even called my wife to explain what surgery was needed and tried to put her mind at rest. All that’s left to say is that I cannot recommend him highly enough, Mr Momin literally saved my life and I will always be grateful to him

I was referred to Mr Momin for major heart surgery, from the moment I spoke to him I had the greatest confidence in him. Mr Momin called me directly on my mobile himself to advise he had accepted me and how we would proceed, he kept me informed during the complete process from start to finish and explained everything along the way, discussed my options and arranged all involved with the operation and my stay in hospital. He made me feel at ease with the whole procedure and gave me confidence. He also called my wife directly to advise how the operation went on the same day, which she greatly appreciated. Following the operation he called to see me everyday in hospital and assisted with my medication and advised me of my progress. Following my discharge from hospital he continued to call me directly to check how I was and discuss progress. I would also say that he feels like a friend rather than a consultant, and I'm very pleased that I had the privilege to have him perform my operation.
