Having been on a short roller coaster from being unexpectedly diagnosed with breast cancer to having a consultation with Mr Agrawal then swiftly to surgery I have been treated with such expertise, compassion and care by him and his team.
His information is comprehensive in offering the options available to me. My questions have been heard and answered.
I am so reassured that I will continue under his care in the years to come.
I thank him for the great support and understanding he shows.

I have just found out I have breast cancer so my journey has just started but I couldn't praise Mr Agrawal and his team highly enough. He is being very thorough in making sure we cover everything that could be thrown my way. His nurse copied all my notes for me and made sure I was ok - what a wonderful caring woman. And Charlie - his P.A, so helpful taking my calls , sending my paperwork to my local hospital where I will continue my treatment, which Im only doing from a practical point of view as travelling to Portsmouth is tiring and makes a long day. I live on the Isle of Wight. If I lived on the mainland there would be no question I would stay in Mr Agrawal care. If you are in a situation that you are looking for the best care you can find then he is your guy.

Over the past couple of years I have seen mr avi agrawal on a few occasions regarding a breast augmentation.
Every time I’ve had my consultations I have felt at ease and very confident in his work and skills, focusing purely on breast surgery.
I had never once felt like I had been forced or pushed into going ahead with my procedure, it was down to my decision only.
I am now four weeks post op I couldn’t be more pleased from the moment I came out of surgery. I had been listened to and received an amazing outcome, while healing pleasantly, fulfilling my desired result.
I must also mention his nurses around him and secretary Charlie have been amazing, whom all have made me feel extremely comfortable with the whole process.

Mr Agrawal is kind and courteous. He gave me a comprehensive overview of my condition and the potential outcomes and treatments, both immediate and future, and dealt willing with my questions. I am very grateful for his expertise and felt safe in his hands. I would recommend him without hesitation.
Profile
As a fully trained Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, I carry out regular diagnostic fast track breast clinics and a full range of breast surgery, including sentinel node biopsy with intra-operative analysis, oncoplastic surgery and breast reconstruction. I also have a special interest in and undertake surgery for skin cancer.
I graduated from the London Hospital Medical College, University of London. My general surgical training was based around several centres of excellence in managing breast diseases, including The Royal Marsden Hospital where I developed oncoplastic techniques to optimise the cosmetic outcome of breast surgery.
I have always been interested in cancer surgery, and as part of my higher surgical training at the University College London, I was awarded a master's degree for my research into Gene Therapy for the prevention and treatment of cancer.
In 2007 I was appointed Consultant Surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. I have been the Clinical Lead/Head of department for the Breast and Endocrine Surgery and Surgical Oncology department for Portsmouth for over 10 years. I have also chaired and lead the Breast Multidisciplinary Team at Queen Alexandra Hospital for over 7 years.
I am the Surgical Lead for breast screening cancers and also the Joint Regional Lead for breast cancer for Wessex. I am the Lead Trainer for the Portsmouth National Oncoplastic Fellowship Program and have helped many trainees develop their skills for their consultant career.
