I had a LTHR on 19/11/2021. I can’t praise Mr Rajpura enough. He spent time explaining the procedure and listened to all my questions and which he was able to answer and reassure. Excellent follow up care. I’m only 3weeks PO and starting to recover really well. My staples have now been removed and scar is incredible. Neat small and tidy. Will be going for my follow up in NY so a few more weeks away but I can highly rate this surgeon. Kind, professional and pretty damn good!!

I had my hip replacement in Oct 2014 and only met Mr Rajpura on the day of my operation after being moved to him from another consultant onnthe last minute. I trusted him straight away. His approach is fantastic and found him very easy to talk to and very respectful and curteous, he explained everything that he had done in my operation in detail. I would fully recommend anyone going to him. He is a very caring consultant and works extremely hard to get good results. I still attend for regular check ups on my new hip in out patients and they are also observing the deteriation of my other hip via x-ray. I cannot praise him enough!

After visiting hospital today for the first time about my hip bursitus which might I add has already been diognosed by my orthopedic consultant in my home town I was met by mr rajpura who didn't seem. That bothered about e telling him the pain I have been in he said my xray of hips looked fine but ordered an mri scan which would show hipbursitus . I was referred there in the hope of keyhole surgery to which he replied he would not operate as it only had a 50-50 chance of being successful!! But who is he to play God and decide that I can't have the surgery he suggested physiotherapy which I nearly rudely told him what he could do with that . I am a 54 year old woman that has ran marathons kept myself fit all my life by running miles every week ang going to the gym and cycling so as for physiology I think I've done enough of my own physio to last me a lifetime . As I saw it today because I didnthave a limp or struggling to walk and not elderly or on crutches he saw me as too fit for surgery well that could be due to th fact I had a cortisone injection two days prior to my appointment with him if ihadntwell that would have been a different case they might have had toget me a wheelchair toget there. So after years of looking after myself it seems it dosent payi maya swell been a overweight woman who sat on her backside all day eating takeaways and putting strains my joints then I Beto would of been offered surgery then. If the operation was not such a success well why tell people about it and build up therehes and also let them decide if they want to take the chance as every patient is different regarding recovery etc etc I was in he of this operation so that I can keep going for many years instead of ending up in a wheelchair and daring nts resources . So after all the good publicity at whrightington ime sorry to say I had a wasted journey and was highly dissapointed and if I have to returning won't be seeing mr rajphur

I come from a very broad and successful sports background namely in the martial art disciplines of Judo and Olympic Freestyle Wrestling. During 2006, I began experiencing pain in my right hip. This then progressively worsened as the years went on. I currently live in Belfast and after being past from pillar to post for a number of years, exhausting all options including years of physiotherapy with no relief, I was finally sent to Wrightington hospital during 2015. This was the best decision of my life as it was at Wrightington I met with Mr A Rajpura, a real God send in my eyes. Mr Rajpura spent a considerable length of time with me and explained why I was getting so much pain (this was after various other guestimates by other Belfast consultants). Mr A Rajpura then carried out hip surgery on my hip during October 2015. The care and attention which was provided to me at Wrightington was tremendous, absolutely exceptional. I would not fault any part of the process. I am now 2 months post op, I endured 9 years of pain, sleepless nights and daily doses of pain killers. This has all been put to an end. Mr Rajpura is worth his weight in gold, I will always be eternally grateful for what he and the rest of his staff did for me. Thank you so much!
