Mr Unnithan carried out full knee replacement surgery on my mother. He is an exceptionally good surgeon, very professional and very caring. It can be a very anxious time, deciding whether or not to have surgery but Mr Unnithan is a surgeon I would highly recommend. Truly one of the best. Also the care my mother received at St Peters Hospital was amazing, the staff were so caring and fantastic. So a very good experience.

I had a fall and broke my hip 3 wks ago. Fortunately, the care I received from Mr Unnithan and his team from the outset was exceptional.. The whole procedure was explaned to me beforehand and everything was carried out in a totally professional way. Even my follow up appointment was on time and all my questions were answered efficiently..

A good caring approach to his patients. He takes time to listen to what you have to say. And he tells you in detail what the procedure is and how to recover. I showed him a short video of myself 10 weeks post operation back at work loading coal onto boats. He was over the moon. I also told him that I has used a cryo ice machine, and had a private sports physio one hour a week. Things like that were of great assistance to a quicker recovery time. The painkillers prescribed do make a difference in the fact that they assist you with your excersises. The morphine does help, in the early stages of recovery.

Felt totally reassured by Mr Unnithans explanation of the procedure. Surgery was a complete success discharged 48 hours post op pain free for the first time in over a year. Recovery has been amazing, no pain relief needed after 3 weeks and back to work 7 weeks post op. With the knowledge that i can call the MSK unit anytime i have a problem. Thank You so much.
