I first met Mr Subramanian when I was referred from my GP to discuss a problem with spinal stenosis in January 2019. He advised the route of spinal decompression and after further XRays advised that I may benefit from Spinal fusion. I was not sure about this but after further discussion I decided to follow his advice and agreed to the operation. Unfortunately my operation was cancelled at the last moment on two occasions but I was admitted on the third attempt. Mr Subramanian explained exactly what was planned and took every care to put my mind at rest. After the operation he visited me on the ward to make sure that I was being looked after. All in all a very successful outcome, the stenosis has gone and my back is improving. I can thoroughly recommend Mr Subramanian to carry out spinal surgery. I was originally concerned that I had to attend Musgrove Park Hospital as it is a 75 mile round trip from my home, but it turned out to be a very positive experience. The surgical team was very good and the nursing care was excellent. The only problem was that the quality of food left a lot to be desired. Christopher Barry Hogarth
