Written by a NHS patient
24th November 2022

I was first referred to Dr. Prabhudesai in February 2020 for hemorrhoidal surgery. Due to the pandemic and the NHS traffic i did not receive treatment until June 2021, though i saw Ash various times prior to the Operation. Throughout all of my visits i always felt that my concerns were listened to and the time was taken to explain the various surgical options in an easy to understand way. I felt a strong sense of autonomous care which i've not experienced with many healthcare professionals before - despite being a new patient during one of the busiest times in recent NHS history. Dr Prabhudesai often remembered small details of stories that i had mentioned in the previous visits and other information which i would not expect to be remembered. Following my procedure in 2021, Ash was always on call to check with my recovery and how my symptoms were going. I ultimately needed a slightly more invasive procedure in Feb 2022 and i have had 0 problems since. I always felt well cared for as a patient and through his expertise i am now symptom free and this has drastically increased my overall quality of life. I will be forever grateful for his time, care and work and i know that should i require any help in the future, he will be there to help. THANK YOU!! We need more healthcare professionals like Dr Ash Prabhudesai in the NHS - great doctor with a great heart who knows his stuff and understands great patient care.
