Reviews
I was extremely pleased to have been allocated Mr Loganathan for my surgery. He is a kind, considerate caring surgeon who takes his time with patients to fully explain everything in an easily understandable way. From start to finish, I was treated by everyone in theatre, during surgery and afterwards with kindness and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. I have no complaints whatsoever about my care and treatment. The only slightly negative comment I would like to make is the “somebody will call you” in between stages of my referral and tests left me anxious about missing a call, as phone calls are made with withheld numbers. No messages were left on my phone so it was impossible to call back. Otherwise it was all perfect.
In 2020 my bowel erupted and had a 10% chance of surviving. Mr. Loganathan explained the seriousness of the situation to my four children who all agreed to surgery. He saved my life by performing an incredibly difficult operation. He and his team cared for me with respect and care for the following 5 months of my stay in the Northern General. In January this year he again performed a miracle repair on an inguinal hernia. He explained what a very tricky procedure it was but was optimistic of the outcome. He is incredibly respectful open and honest and an amazing surgeon.
I'm so glad I chose Mr Loganathan. From the outset he filled me with confidence after taking time to explain my situation and the best way to complete the surgery. His manner was professional but friendly and I felt very much at ease with him.
Should I require any form of surgery in the future I would not hesitate to use him.
Thank you for looking after me Mr Loganathan.
I found Mr Loganathan very thorough and efficient. He listened to me and explained everything fully to me. Both procedures I received were carried out very smoothly.
He is very kind in his manner which puts the patient at ease and inspires confidence.
I cannot in any way fault the treatment I received from all concerned.
The all team were extremely professional and considerate and happy to answer any questions. This particularly applied to Mr Loganathan himself. He also remembered and thought to ask about my son who had just had surgery in Barnsley also for bowel cancer. I was only in NGH for 3 days after surgery but he came to see me on 2 occasions, once notably immediately before discharge which was very pleasing. Overall I was extremely impressed and possibly a little surprised by the care I received from the whole team. This appears to be ongoing with phone calls from the colorectal nurses team regarding my progress.
