I sustained injuries during snowboarding that comprised a full tear of the ACL, partial tear of the MCL, bone bruising and 2 meniscus tears. Although I was fortunate to have a relatively stable knee 18 months post injury, I was advised that a reconstruction would be my best option if I were to return to the slopes and continue to lead my active lifestyle. I had some concerns over the procedure and choice of surgeon to obtain the best outcome, which evaporated upon my consultation with Mr Arman Memarzadeh. He was warm, knowledgeable and very reassuring. Understanding my desire to return to the same level of activity, Mr Memarzadeh guided my decision to use a patellar graft for the surgery. I was informed of the risks and to expect up to 6 weeks using crutches post-op. The surgery went very well and the speed of my recovery was beyond my expectations. I was walking without crutches within 2 weeks and regained full range of motion by our follow up appointment at 8 weeks. I was particularly impressed by how neat the incision was at the front of my knee, which Mr Memarzadeh informed me would result in minimal scarring. My rehabilitation is ongoing and my strength continues to increase, with little pain or discomfort. I’m confident I will be back on the mountain by 2024. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Memarzadeh to perform knee reconstruction surgery. He understood my needs and provided a variety of options for the graft, was approachable and particularly patient with all of my questions and concerns. I am simply delighted with the outcome to date and feel very fortunate to have received excellent treatment. Scott Winters 29/09/23

Mr Arman Memarzadeh, is a very caring person , and is very empathetic. He greeted me with a lovely welcoming smile and asked genuinely how I was doing, and more importantly he stopped and looked at me and waited for my response and listened to my reply. He is a good listener and he listened about my stitches and took action. He reflected back on the previous appointment and remembered the status. He put me at ease and explained the situation. The only suggestion i had was maybe in the consulting room have a computer screen so I could see the x-ray.

Mr Memarzadeh, Has changed my life, I was a very active person both in leisure and work, My Knees have for years slowly but surely stopped me from doing what I love, I was very afraid of the operation as I did not want to think what would happen if it went went wrong. Mr Memarzadeh explained the process with great honesty, and I trusted him for that so went ahead, and had my first Partial knee replacement and I am over the moon I did, hardly any bruising, for me there has been hardly any pain and now after nearly 6 weeks I am able to walk with no crutches. I am looking forward to having my second knee done. Mr Memarzadeh himself is very Professional his CV specks for itself, but he is very easy to talk to and explained the process so I could easily understand, without making me feel daft.

Mr Memarzadeh is an amazing Doctor in everyway, I feel really lucky and blessed to have fall in his care. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, experienced but most of all, is his kindness and care for his patients. He takes the time needed to listen, to check, to exanimate and make feel his patients very comfortable and reassured. Mr Memarzadeh is one of the best Doctors I have ever came across with and definitely the best Orthopaedic Surgeon I have ever met and be in care of. I can recommend him enough and if continue needing care in Orthopaedics, I hope I will always be in Mr Mamarzadeh hands.
