Having suffered for several weeks and eventually being admitted to hospital on August 2021 with severe urine retention, the only solution at the time was to insert a catheter. I met Mr Goyal at his surgery on the 3rd of September 2021. I explained my situation to Mr Goyal who took note of everything I mentioned. Mr Goyal also checked my medical history and was very reassuring after examining my prostate. During my consultation with Mr Goyal he recommended a number of tests that I should undertake mainly to rule out prostate cancer as his examination of my prostate confirmed my prostate was enlarged, I was also loosing a terrible amount weight whilst wearing the catheter. As a direct result of of Mr Goyal's recommendations, the following things were done to help assess the best type of treatment I should receive for my enlarged prostate, I had 2 PSA blood tests to rule out the possibility of prostate cancer, an ultrasound scan to measure the size of my prostate and check whether my kidneys were functioning properly, an MRI scan to check for any trace of prostate cancer, a bone scan to rule out any possibility of "cancer" having spread from my prostate to my bones, and finally a Biopsy to rule out prostate cancer. All test results were "negative" in the best way possible!! Thanks to Mr Goyal's calm and honest approach, I went on to have surgery on my prostate and I am now thankfully catheter free. Mr Goyal provided an excellent consultation at bupa spire hospital , he has an excellent approach and listens and provides very informative information be that face to face or by phone and when carrying out procedures he explained every step.
