I arranged a consultation with Dr Pickersgill following a bad experience at my local NHS hospital. He was very empathetic to my situation and arranged to carry out a procedure that I needed to have very quickly. He visited me before and after the procedure and I felt looked after and that I was in safe hands. Having a Dr who was very knowledgeable, caring and reassuring really helped get me through a traumatic and emotional time.

I would absolutely not recommend Dr Andrew Pickersgill for treatment of fibroids. On his numerous profiles it says he treats them, but in my case he took £250 for a 20 minute zoom consultation and then passed me onto a colleague of his who demanded another £250 for another initial consultation. I decided not to waste my money. I have complained and asked for a refund but have been well and truly ignored. I am still in constant pain with my fibroids and wished I hadn't bothered wasting my time or money. What makes it worse is that I contacted his secretary beforehand to be absolutely sure of continuation of treatment after a consultation and I was assured that I would be looked after. Shame on you guys. Never again.

I had an initial consultation with Andrew Pickersgill many months ago due to post menopausal bleeding. I went through various procedures over a number of months and with each step Andrew was very thorough and his expertise gave me confidence in his recommendations. I decided to have a laparoscopic hysterectomy and am now in my second week of recovery and pleased to say recovering well. Andrew is caring and very personable and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Dr Pickersgill is truly a one of kind consultant. I owe the birth of my son to him! If it wasn’t for him, my baby wouldn’t be here today. I first saw Dr Pickersgill privately via Spire for suspected Asherman’s syndrome. He took a thorough history, really listened and validated what I had suspected for months. He confirmed a diagnosis of Asherman’s during a privately paid hysteroscopy and identified at the time another unrelated yet significant issue that no one had ever flagged before which would prevent me from carrying a baby to term.. I was referred to see him as an NHS patient for follow up treatment during Covid and he ensured that I would be treated as an “urgent case” due to my unique circumstances. I thought I would never have another baby, but Dr Pickersgill cleared me of my severe Asherman’s and also performed another unrelated surgery to allow me to carry a baby to term. He truly cares about his patients and is an amazing doctor.

I have been under Mr Pickersgills care for the last 5 years. Every visit to him I felt listened to and completely trusted his care throughout and more importantly he believed me, he believed my pain which had been quiestioned by other professionals. He has given me many options for my treatment of endometriosis and this has been successful for the last 5 years. I finally decided that it was the right time for a hysterectomy and Mr Pickersgill again completed this with the most care, advice and my procedure went perfectly and his aftercare is everything I could have asked for.
