I saw Mr Goldberg at the Elstree Waterfront and he was lovely. So patient and so caring and recommended a special type of shoe and physiotherapy which was very reassuring as two other doctors recommended surgery which he said was not necessary. I always recommend going for a second opinion before going under the knife!

My daughter visited Mr Goldberg at the Bushey Spire Hospital. He was so friendly, caring and thoughtful that it restored our faith in the medical profession. We now feel confident where we previous lacked hope.

After suffering with chronic osteoarthritis of the ankle following an accident 20 years ago I finally decided that I needed to seek medical help as the discomfort was so debilitating. I did some research on ankle specialists and decided to book a consultation with Mr Andy Goldberg, I am so pleased that I did. I am seven months post op after a total ankle replacement and can only say what a difference this has made to me. Mr Goldberg is an exceptional surgeon, he has a superb bedside manner, he listens, and explains everything thoroughly, he also has a wonderful sense of humour. I would recommend him to anyone who needs to see an ankle specialist, he is definitely ‘the one’, and truly deserving of his OBE

Apart from being a superb surgeon, Mr Goldberg is very approachable and understanding. His explanations are clear and concise and one feels comfortable and unhurried discussing what are essentially, extremely difficult decisions. I can't really stress how important this is - before meeting him I had done my homework so I knew he was a world leading surgeon, but his warmth and empathy and down to earth nature nearly took me by surprise. I am quite young to have a Total Ankle Replacement so Dr Goldberg did not push me in either direction - we discussed pros and cons of TAR and fusion and ultimately I made my own decision, which so far has been the correct one. I was badly arthritic from sporting injuries, limping, in pain, unable to run or kick a ball. Putting a shoe on was painful. Swimming was painful. While I have a little bit of soft tissue pain after a busy day that is also improving as I build up strength - absolutely critically important to follow post op recommendations and then physiotherapy religiously to get back strength and movement. My experience with Dr Goldberg and the entire team both in Wellington and in the Royal National where I had my x-rays and operation was excellent and I can't really think of any shortcomings to highlight.

What a great doctor. I wish all private specialists could be this nice. He listens and he cares and he cured my heel pain. He is top of his game and Dr Goldberg is definitely the best ankle doctor I have seen.
