My daughter and I both suffer with multiple epiphyseal dysplasia, osteoarthritis. Due to our condition we have irregular growth plates and very little cartilidge between our joints. We both suffer with pain 24/7 and from the age of seven I suffered chronic pain in my ankles, and got told there was nothing they could do. Anyway, after suffering and trying to cope I couldnt bear the agony of my feet touching the floor and asked to be referred to an ankle surgeon at Stanmore orthopaedic hospital as I am already under other surgeons care there and know first hand of their excellence. The moment I met Mr Goldberg, I knew he was going to be great. Mr goldberg took as much to!e talking with my family and I that I would spend talking with a friend. Every last detail was explained so we all understood, and I never felt belittled or frustrated, because you knew he cared about you as a person and you knew he had a heart of compassion for you. His passion for wanting to help you out of this pain shows throughout the journey. I had a triple ankle fusion. I cannot describe how it felt to be pain free after 45 years of pain. All I know that its with a grateful heart my family and I are blessed to be under his care and his team. My daughter is also his patient and Mr Goldberg is doing his best to help her without invasive surgery at the moment as she is young but she knows that he is there for her and that's what counts. Nothing is too much trouble. Living with our condition and knowing that Mr Goldberg is a kind generous man who is professional yet human is reassuring, because you are in the best hands possible, and you would have to go along way to find, someone who cares about you outside of your family and friends, in the medical field.
