I had an appointment with Mr Cruise to discuss a possible ear operation regarding an ear perforation. As it happened I had experienced two sudden bouts of vertigo, which if you have never experiened this, is both alarming and debilitating. I was grateful that I had an appointment with an ENT consultant and as this was more pressing chose to rather discuss this issue with Mr Cruise. He was extremely knowledgable and spent considerable time examinng me and making sense of my symptoms. He spent time getting me to perform various balance exercises, including the Dix-hallpike test. His diagnosis was very accurate and he then performed the Epley manoeuvre to alleviate my symptoms. He has also sent me clear and detailed notes regarding my condition with a link to helpful balance exercises. He was professional, thorough and clearly dedicated to helping his patients - a credit to his profession. Overall, I have found the ENT team to provide one of the best services in the NHS. I have found the admin staff to be very efficient and helpful - they go the extra mile and will do all they can to help with appointments. I wish more departments in the NHS could operate in this way.

I saw Mr Andrew Cruise just before Christmas trying to find answers to a long term problem with hearing loss. Mr Cruise was attentive, listened carefully to the description of my symptoms and asked relevant questions and I felt he understood exactly my issues. He explained in great detail my hearing problem and drew a diagram to consolidate my understanding. I was able to ask all the questions I needed to without feeling rushed and he made a plan of action as to how I should proceed . Following my appointment, I received a detailed letter outlining his findings and recommendations. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Andrew Cruise He was approachable, knowledgeable, professional and empathetic For the first time in a very long time, I have been listened to. Thankyou

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Mr Cruise. His gentleness and empathy were particularly valuable to me, since I am not good with anything even slightly uncomfortable! The efforts he took to ensure I understood the intricacies of the anatomy/biology concerned and what it might be doing was both fascinating and empowering. I left feeling knowledgeable and full of hope. As it turns out, the latter was justified - after having seen other doctors and trying to manage a distressing condition for a few months, his treatment protocol yielded quick results and I am now confident I am free of it. I would also like to also acknowledge his assistants/admin staff, who are also a delight, with one of them answering a phone call well out of office hours when I was expecting to just leave a message for the next day. Thank you to them for great service and thank you so much to Mr Cruise for sorting out my issue. My life has improved dramatically. Hurrah! :)
