I feel extremely fortunate to have been treated by Andrew Carrothers. I was terrified of having hip replacement surgery, largely because it is a major operation and hospital is not an environment I am familiar with.
Mr Carrothers put me at my ease, with his confidence and explanations. I felt reassured that he would take care of me to the best of his ability (which is not inconsiderable!).
He brings skill, empathy and appropriate humour to a scary scenario (for me) and I am extremely grateful to him.
The outcome of the operation is a resounding success and if I needed further treatment, I would hope that he would be able to conduct the operation.
