Mr Scala operated on me 1st October at RSCH after others had failed to read my CT Scan. I had a twisted bowel, which he picked up on immediately and explained the procedure very throughly to me. He gave me great confidence and I was eating again just 3 days after my surgery. This was amazing as I had not eaten for 3 months, I had lived on the fortisip supplement. Mr Scala’s knowledge and care is second to none. He gave me my life back again, I shall be forever grateful. Thank you so much

I was a patient of Mr Scala over two years ago. He is an absolutely lovely man. So patient and kind. He probably saved my life after a disastrous operation done by someone else. I would recommend him to anyone who has to have serious surgery done.

I was referred to Mr Scala after a growth was discovered in my colon. At my first consultation I was reassured by his manner. He listened, explained the next steps and planned procedure very clearly and answered any questions I raised. He was very approachable and gave me confidence. After my operation he visited me twice daily in hospital to check my progress. My operation was a success and I have now been given the all clear.
