Honestly one of the nicest doctors I've met. Louise his nurse is also lovely. Mr Patel operated on me for my nasal polyps and sinus problems. I can finally breathe and smell again - very grateful. My daughter has also seen him.

Mr Patel performed a left side parotidectomy on me in March 2025,
This operation was going to be a complex task and expected to take approx, 2 hours but once the operation was underway it turned out to be far more difficult and involved case and in fact took over 5 1/2 hours to complete. It was the last operation of the day and Mr Patel must have been exhausted but carried on to complete the task successfully. He is a very kind, polite and caring man with a great bedside manner and I would not hesitate in recommending him to other patients looking for a top class consultant in his field.

Mr Patel removed a parotid 'lump' for me. I was so anxious before and worried about possible nerve damage and scarring. I'm very pleased to leave a good review because his care was excellent, he's hidden the scar bnehind my ear and under my hair so you can't even see I've had surgery.

Mr Patel is a fellowship trained Consultant ENT Head & Neck Surgeon with subspecialist interests in the surgical management of head & neck cancer, thyroid & parathyroid disease, and robotic surgery. He received an academic scholarship at Cambridge University and graduated with first class honours and awards in 2007. Mr Patel carried out surgical training in London and the East of England prior to completing a Royal College of Surgeons fellowship in endocrine surgery (UK) and an international fellowship in advanced head & neck surgery (Australia). His NHS practice is based at Lister Hospital, where he is Vice-Chair of the head & neck and thyroid cancer multidisciplinary boards, and Clinical Director of Operating Theatres.
