Second time seeing Mr Patel, he was on time and had already reviewed my scans and blood tests before I entered. It's very reassuring. I'm pleased that he is looking after me, he's kind and very reassuring.

I want to express my gratitude for an amazing experience with Mr Patel. His operation on my septum and sinuses has completely changed my quality of life. When I first saw him, he did an endoscopy and my wife recoiled at the gunk and polyps completely blocking my nasal passages (wouldn't stop talking about it on the way home!) Fast forward to 2 months after my surgery, and my nose is completely clear. It sounds strange to say but I find myself sniffing the air out loud with a grin on my face. Very happy to leave a review. I was seen by Mr Patel after almost 18 months struggling with my breathing and general health as a result. He immediately knew what my problem was, and confirmed after doing several checks. He diagnosed me with Idiopathic Subglottic Stenosis. After such a long time, it was extremely reassuring to get a diagnosis and to know that what I had been experiencing had a name! I felt seen, heard and validated. Within 2 weeks I was in for an operation on my windpipe under his care. The relief I got from having the operation was immediate. I could breathe normally again. It made everything that I had been struggling with ( even very small tasks and taking a few steps were a challenge and made me breathless ) go back to pretty much normal. As a result of lack of exercise and energy and had become very unfit and put on even more weight. But now I could function and challenge against my physical state. I am so, so thankful to have been sent to see Mr Patel, and to have had my diagnosis and treatment. It isn’t something I had heard of and I do wish more noise could be made about Subglottic Stenosis. He is a very kind, approachable and respectful person and really cared to make a difference. Thank you. Mrs C Wilshaw

Mr Patel did an camera test of my voice box and went through the causes of my voice problems. Very informative and reassuring. Professional, punctual, can't fault.

I'm very pleased with my consultant and thyroid surgery under the care of Mr Patel. I felt reassured throughout. I saw Mr Patel's registrar after the operation as he was away but she was also very nice and professional. His team always seem so happy and friendly.
