I have been trying to write this for the last 2 1/2 years and I had no idea it could be so emotional. I’m not really sure where to start when I am writing about someone who has saved your life Mr Goyal didn’t know me. I was just another patient and I didn’t know him. I first met Mr Goyal in November 2018 I had been referred by my GP. after finding a lump in my right breast. I sat in the Derby Royal breast unit after having a horrendous journey to the hospital and unable to find a parking space in the pouring rain for a mammogram a few chairs away was a young girl, sobbing, I had my mammogram and was then sent for an ultrasound and then called through to see Mr Goyal. He examined me, and explained that I would need to have a biopsy, by this time everything was a blur. I remember asking Mr Goyal if I should be worried if I had breast cancer and he answered it’s not if it is but what it is. I had no idea what he meant but knew it was bad news. he was very thoughtful and kind and I knew straightaway that my care under Mr Goyal was going to be excellent. I remember attending an appointment a couple of weeks later at the Royal Derby for a blood test. I was waiting in the waiting room full of other patients and Mr Goyal saw me , I had only seen him twice before he approached me and acknowledged me by name asking if I was okay he didn’t know I was going to be there and the fact that he knew my name made me feel safe in his care. He was always honest with any queries my husband and I had and I trusted him 100%. My treatment was not as frightening as I first thought, and with the care of Mr Goyal and my oncologist I completed the treatment and see Mr Goyal once a year. I have now retired from work and have a wonderful granddaughter and a new life without Mr Goyal’s positivity, wonderful, kindness and care, life could have been very different. He is a credit to his profession, and still, he knows nothing about my life, and I know nothing about his. I was confident to place my life in his hands. Thank you so much Mr Goyal .

I had a breast augmentation with Mr Goyal 6 weeks ago. He is very knowledgeable and made the whole process really smoothly and stress free. Mr Goyal listened to what I wanted to achieve, what my priorities were and guided me to choose the type of surgery that would be best for me. He went above and beyond, answering every single question I had to make sure I was comfortable with my choice. My surgery went really well, no complications at all and my recover was extremely easy (I'm a single mum to two little boys). My results are fantastic, it's literally a dream come true. I can't recommend Mr Goyal enough. I just wish I had had my BA sooner. :)

Mr Goyal is brilliant! He listened to what I wanted and I had several consultations prior to going ahead with my surgery. He communicated really well and kept checking that I understood what was to happen and that I was happy. I ended up with a great job, the pain I had prior to the operation has gone and I feel 100% better. I cannot fault him.

Mr Goyal has recently performed breast reduction surgery on me and I thoroughly recommend him. I feel transformed and my confidence in myself has grown so much. After my initial consultation with Mr Goyal I knew I wanted him to do the operation. Not only is he highly skilled and knowledgeable but he is also very understanding and considerate. I have had no problems whatsoever and my new breasts are amazing!! I could not have had a better experience and I can only echo the comments of Mr Goyal's previous patients. Thank you Mr Goyal - you have changed my life!
