Mr Chandra was very clear in explaining what had happened to my eye and used a model eye to show the area of my haemorrhage. He told me what surgery was needed and the cost involved. I was given time to talk privately with my daughter about whether or not to go ahead. Mr Chandra felt the sooner the operation was undertaken the better the prognosis would be. He booked me three days after my consultation to an already full clinic and started his day earlier in order accommodate me. My vision improved from hand movements only to 6/12- . The follow up appointments were very thorough and I have been told what to expect going forward. I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I had any eye issues in the future.

Aman Chandra is a brilliant ophthalmologist. At my first consultation, his knowledge gave me the confidence to believe that my treatment would be successful, then his surgical skill and great care restored my eyesight. I am so very thankful and grateful to this man and I would highly recommend his services. I would like to note his secretary, Amanda Dunn, was also very helpful, efficient and showed me the very best of care.

Mr Chandra performed a cataract operation on my left eye in September 2022. At the first consultation, on the day of the operation and at the follow-up appointment, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and with a manner that put me completely at my ease. At no time did I feel afraid of the procedure Mr Chandra was about to perform on my eye. I had complete trust in his expertise and skill. He talked me through the various procedures, making sure I was comfortable at each stage during surgery. Thank you Mr Chandra for restoring the sight in my left eye so successfully. I would have no hesitation in recommending him for this kind of surgery.

From the first moment I met Mr Chandra I knew I was in the hands of a brilliant man. The care and skill with which I was looked after throughout my treatment was excellent. I would recommend him without hesitation and I would also add that His secretary Amanda was always helpful and attentive as was the staff at Southend Private Hospital. My treatment was for cataracts and I have now got a new look on life!

Mr Chandra was very calming and reassuring throughout the consultation and afterwards. Thoroughly professional throughout, but with humour. His secretary Amanda was brilliant too. She rescheduled everything so swiftly when Covid reared its head. The staff at the hospital were all excellent and very welcoming throughout. I have no doubt that if I had a requirement for any other treatment that Mr Chandra will be my first port of call. I must apologise to Mr Chandra and Amanda for not completing this review sooner, my operation took place Feb 22.
