One month following an anatomic shoulder replacement I feel that I am making excellent progress. My pain is much reduced and my range of movement is improving. Early days but I am confident that I will achieve a fully functioning, pain-free shoulder in the next few months. I have received great care. Mr Yewlett has been very attentive, kind and caring. He is very approachable and easy to talk to. I was given a full explanation of the proposed surgery, the likely rate of recovery and the possible complications. I had good care while in hospital and have physiotherapy appointments in place until September. I could not have asked for anything more. I am very grateful to Mr Yewlett and his team.

A doctor that fully explains the options and talks you through the procedures. On this occasion I had an ulna nerve decompression at the cubical tunnel using the Walant technique; this was and is very painless and on first impressions a great success. Today in clinic I had an injection direct into the shoulder to my area of previous replacement. Again fully explained to me and his registrar. We await to see the result. I found Mr Yewlett a lovely and caring man with a human touch and I would fully recommend him to anyone. Thank you. Clive Edwards.

I am more than happy to report back that the care I have received from Grantham Hospital and particularly Mr Yewlett has been without hesitation extremely good. From my initial consultation through to today being effectly discharged (but with the reassurance that I can ask to be re referred should I have any concerns at all), I have been well cared for, frequently offered appointments and constant re assurance that my procedure has been carefully considered and undertaken. Mr Yewlett has a calm but professional attitude towards myself and has accommodated my husband in all appointments, even throughout the Covid crisis. He has carefully explained and shown me what has been needed to repair my shoulder and at no point have I felt rushed or patronised by his level of expertise. The whole Grantham Hospital experience has been an excellent provision, from reception to physio through to Consultant. Thank you.

I am writing this as the daughter of an elderly mother with a shoulder problem. First of all, we were fortunate to see Mr. Yewlett in the very pleasant Lincoln Hospital with its calm and reassuring atmosphere. We were seen in good time and found Mr. Yewlett to be informative, helpful, sensible in his approach with regards to guiding us through the options available for treatment and with a pleasant and relaxed manner throughout.
