I was referred to Mr Yewlett following a horse-riding accident, which had occurred 2 weeks earlier and resulted in the multiple fracture of my right collar bone. This injury was showing no signs of healing and needed attention. Mr Yewlett carefully assessed my injury and explained precisely what my options were, the likely outcome and the possible problems associated with this particular surgery. I was, therefore, able to make a considered and practical decision about treatment. By some remarkable chance, Mr Yewlett had a time slot that afternoon and having agreed to surgery, I was in theatre within 5 hours, having my collar bone plated. Mr Yewlett not only put himself out but pulled together a super team and did an excellent job, at very short notice. I cannot thank Mr Yewlett and his team enough for their skill and care. I am pleased to report that I have made a complete recovery and am, very happily, back in the saddle. Finally, a big thank you also, to all the kind and caring nurses who looked after me, pre and post op at Boston Pilgrim Hospital.
