Mr Warsi is a brilliant Surgeon. Within seconds into my first appointment with him diagnosed 3 hernias. Because of my existing health problems explained everything to me and advised having each done on separate occasions via open surgery. Left hernia operation performed first with excellent results and recovery. Easy to look forward to second op, and further relief of discomfort and long term suffering after many appointments with my local GP who could not recognise even one hernia.

My original consultation with Mr Warsi was several months ago when he made a diagnosis of my condition and proposed a procedure. Mr Warsi performed a Laproscopic TAP repair to an Inguinal hernia and an umbilical hernia repair. His work was very tidy and clean with minimal bruising, swelling and pain afterwards. I would also like to add that the whole team at FGH (day unit staff, anesthetist, surgery and recovery) on the day of my procedure were very efficient, calm and open in their approach. I was discharged the same day. Thank you all again.

Mr Ali Warsi repaired my hernia by laparoscopy 4 days ago. Surgery began around mid-day, and I was discharged around tea time the same day. Yes, there's a little bit of pain and discomfort but Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are taking the edge off it. Realistically I feel I am recovering well from what seems like a minimally invasive procedure. I attribute part of my recovery speed to Mr Warsi's skill and experience. Very little bruising can be seen, and the (three) port site wounds are clean and sound. While I hope I won't need surgery in the future, I would have no problem if he were operating again on me. He spoke with me prior to surgery on the day, and he made time to speak with me post surgery prior to discharge. I had a couple of minor questions which he was able to help me with. While I'm here, a tip of my hat to Dr Debasish Das (Anesthesia) and the team of the Day Care Unit there are Furness General.

I met Dr Warsi twice and found the first time that the time our meeting was over before I could ask all the questions I had, but when we met again I was more organised with questions and he was very attentive and informative, as well as friendly and understanding. He was knowledgeable and clearly is very experienced. I am not at the stage of needing surgery, I feel , but really benefited from his advice and support in making my decision. I would happily trust him if and when it comes to surgery.

This Doctor did an excellent repair to a hernia which required four hours in theatre. Covid delayed treatment which should have been done earlier.
