Had a second opinion with Mr Sepahi and was impressed with his attention and the time he spent with me explaining things and the further tests he arranged which were not undertaken by the first consultant I had seen. It’s a week after the op for decompression surgery on my spine, removal of disk fragments and herniated disk and the leg and left hand side hip pain disappeared and has not reoccurred since the moment I woke from the anaesthetic. The anaesthetist was excellent, I had problems previous at a different hospital, but was assured and completely looked after.

Just had urgent spinal surgery under this gent. Op went well. I'm "told" he's a good surgeon, but being anaesthetised means I have to wait and see how I get on. At 1 week after, things seam to be progressing ok......

A worry, isn't it? Having major spinal surgery especially when deamed urgent. However this surgeon and his team at Southampton General Hospital have cancelled my surgery twice now. I have been put back another 3 weeks. Poor organisation must be the reason, so while his skills may not be in question, I would think his organisation within that team needs work! If it's a problem of that Hospitals management - then this needs addressing.
