I am a registrar in General Surgery at the Peterborough City Hospital. I work for and am supervised by a number of the consultant surgeons. I am approximately half way through my training towards becoming a consultant surgeon myself. I work in a number of hospital environments, looking after outpatients in the clinic, inpatients (admitted on both an emergency and on a planned basis) on the wards and I undertake day case surgery and endoscopy/colonoscopy, as well as surgery for which patients require an admission to the hospital. My aim is to provide excellent quality care for every patient I meet, in a way that recognises their individual preferences and circumstances.
