I can endorse all the highly positive comments already made here about Mr Davidson. He was utterly professional, supportive and efficient. Further investigations were promptly organised. I have total faith in his expertise and would highly recommend him to others.

I found Mr Davidson helpful, kind and professional at every stage of my treatment. He listened carefully to me and explained the diagnosis and treatment plan clearly and unhurriedly which gave me confidence in agreeing to go ahead with the procedures. His clinic was always on time and he made every effort, despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic to keep my appointments and treatment on schedule. The atmosphere surrounding the operations was very calm and the excellent flexibility in my knees immediately postoperative is a tribute to his considerable surgical skills. He gave me clear advice about the seriousness of the follow up physiotherapy and it has worked. I am very happy to have had such a good surgeon and would thoroughly recommend him.

Mr Davidson performed a total hip replacement for me. I was a slightly unusual patient at a relatively young 43 years of age, a childhood Perthes condition meaning a hip replacement was a necessity. From the beginning Alistair inspired confidence, spoke candidly and pulled no punches with his considered advice. He spent great time and effort planning the optimal approach for my condition which resulted in him using state of the art Mako robotic technology to support the procedure. I am writing this 5 weeks post-op and the procedure was a resounding success, in particular his achievement of closing a lifelong, inch long leg length discrepancy. This element in particular needed great skill to achieve without irreparably damaging sciatic nerve. Within ten days I had dropped the crutches and was walking unaided and I am well on the way to full recovery. I would recommend unconditionally.

Clear and concise discussion and advice prior to operation, informing of pros and cons, expectations, and probable outcomes. Progressive and willing to adopt and exploit advances in medicine, newer techniques and modern methods. Provides confidence to his patients through informative discussions, competent demeanour, and divulging the process in a step-by-step and easy to understand dialogue. Relaxed and amiable nature, easy to speak to. Informative post op and confidence inspiring. Readily keen to provide advice and praise, despite the patient undertaking a 5km Park Run 3 months after TKR surgery completing it in under 40 minutes (against advice). Mr Davidson will be glad to know that his patient has given up the Park Run for cycling and HITT, with some resistance training. Post op X-rays showed perfect results and great flexion of up to 120 degrees, with good and increasing stability. Both surgeon and patient are very pleased with results of the surgery. After 20 years of less than perfect flexion and stability, limited movement, I am now able to return to more confident movement and activities. Thank you for doing such a great job.

Mr Davidson performed a Conformis total knee replacement on my right knee in September 2019 and also on my left knee in January 2020. I have found him to be thoroughly professional, straightforward and efficient throughout the entire experience. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. As I am in my early 70's I viewed the first operation with considerable trepidation. However the advice and treatment he provided has proved first-class. He tells you what you need to know, not what you don't and you just need to follow his advice. Having come through the first operation well I had complete trust and confidence in him upon going into the second procedure. My rate of recovery this time has been much faster which has been a great bonus. Within 2 weeks of the op I have been able to walk adequately without crutches.
