I was a patient of Mr Howieson’s for 3 years before deciding to go ahead with a total hip replacement. The surgery went without any problems and I made a quick recovery. He was polite and considerate, explaining everything to me helping me decide when the time was right for my surgery - I had a steroid injection 18 months prior to help relieve symptoms but this wore off so surgery became my choice for permanent relief. I would like to add that I was seen initially as an nhs patient but had my surgery at Kings Park, Stirling under private axa healthcare plan.
