Less than 24 hours ago, Dr, Dabbagh carried out a full cataract removal on my left eye. The cataracts were quite pronounced following an operation for a macular hole many months ago. I left Kingston Eye Hospital yesterday evening feeling only a little sore in the affected eye. I settled back home and within two hours was totally surprised to find my sight had improved by at least 50% and now the next day 75%! I want to express my deep thanks and respect to Dr. Dabbagh and his excellent team who are all superb at their jobs and treat patients with the utmost care and also good humour! It was an amazing experience. Kingston Eye Hospital has a really well-deserved reputation. Thank you all again.

My son was seeing Mr Dabbagh for four years and I am completely happy with his service, he is very interested in the child and goes even beyond his field of expertise by asking the child how others treat him regarding the glasses. The only thing to improve would be time management maybe, on the other hand, it is not every time possible, I guess. I fully recommend Mr Dabbagh! Lovely regards Šárka and Marwin Meyer

Mr Dabbagh and his team performed my cataract operations in both December 2019 and November 2020 - the second having been delayed due to the global Covid outbreak this year. On both occasions the care and aftercare given by Mr Dabbagh and his team (with Elizabeth De Smit as his registrar on the first occasion and, I think, Heidi on the second) was first class. I was very short-sighted before my operations (my right eye was -22 at the time of my first operation and I also have a stigmatism) and I'm aware from what Mr Dabbagh told me after my first op, that I had presented them with 'a bit of a challenge' on the day. As the last of 7 patients to be operated on, I was also conscious that my surgery was taking a little longer that the patients who had gone before me that morning. Mr Dabbagh however kept me totally at ease during the whole process, clearly explaining what was going on at each stage of the fitting of my lens. And, now that I have also had cataract surgery on my other eye and my sight is totally balanced, I have to say that my overall long-distance vision is a-maz-ing! As someone who has needed glasses since his teens I am, several weeks on, still marvelling at how well I can now see unaided by glasses for long-distance vision. I would like to say a sincere and grateful thanks to Mr Dabbagh and his team for their care, and would wish to include within this the full teams involved in the operating unit on the day of both my operations and indeed, all the other nurses in the Kingston Hospital Eye Unit who carried out various test on my eyes in and around my operations. I would certainly have no hesitation in highly recommending Mr Dabbagh or the Kingston Hospital Eye Unit to any patients needing cataract surgery.
