Mr Aslam was our son’s consultant. We were told at our 20 week scan that he had a congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM), from 4 weeks old he recurrently suffered from bronchiolitis. Mr Aslam was always so patient and understanding, explaining everything to us so thoroughly. He carried out a lobectomy on our son when he was 22 months old. He couldn’t have done more for us on what was the scariest day of our lives. I felt that I could completely trust my sons life in his hands. The physical work he did was tremendous, his scar is unbelievably neat and already hardly noticeable. Whilst some may say he was just “doing his job” he has literally changed our sons life, as well as ours. Although I’m glad we’ve now been discharged from Mr Aslam’s care, we will miss him and just cannot thank him enough, what an incredible man.

The doctor was amazing, my daughter is 13 years old and had been in and out of the Norfolk and Norwich hospital all her life, 9 months of coming to Addenbrooke’s Hospital they found a issue that my daughter had from birth, dr Aslam done corrective surgery 5 hour operation and my daughter has recovered in hours after surgery, everything was excellent, explained in full, taken great care with us I couldn’t be happier, absolute legend of a doctor!!! 100%.

My Son was born at 29 weeks and 3 days, he was doing fine for three days at our local hospital, on the fourth day his belly started to become distended. We were transferred to Addenbrookes where Mr Aslam and his team operated on my Son to save his life after his bowel perforated and having NEC. We spent 93 days on NICU and we now have an amazing, healthy 9 month old baby boy. We cannot thank you all enough for saving our little boys life.

Our only child was born prematurely at 28 weeks, suffered from Necrotizing Enterocolitis Stage 3b. Mr Adil Aslam was responsible why our only child is alive today. Our child was seen by different paediatric surgeon and I spoke to them asking them that my child needs an emergency operation as I am a doctor as well and it may be too late as her abdomen was very distended, bluish in colour and she looks in a lot of pain but they did not listen. When it was Mr. Aslam on-call day, I spoke to him and he assessed our daughter and he knows that she needs an emergency operation. Intraoperatively, she already got perforated and necrotic bowel, peritonitis, aggravated by sepsis with DIC. Thank You Lord, Thank You Mama Mary and thank you Mr Aslam and his team, they saved our baby. 25 cm of ileum was removed and she had stoma for almost 3 months. They were able to reversed the stoma in due time and now we are enjoying her and we are complete as family. Thank you for all your prayers . Thank you for all those who were involved in the care of our daughter. God Bless You All.
