Mr Fawole is patient, listens to the needs or fears of his patients and reassures them of his best attention to their needs. In my case it was a very large cancer in my bowel, very close to the small intestine. He managed to perform a resection as opposed to a colostomy and everything works perfectly. He has taken great care to monitor my post operative condition and progress on a regular basis.I have felt safe in his care from day one and continuing overseeing if results from regular tests. He is amazing. If anyone finds themselves in need of help with problem conditions they will feel to be in safe hands from the first meeting and continuing monitoring.

I feel fortunate to have been referred to this highly skilled and sympathetic consultant. It would probably have been easier for him to remove my enormous tumour and give me a stoma - which I did not want if there was any chance of a resection. He was able to do this and it all works perfectly. If you are in need of a colorectal surgeon he is the saviour you need. If anyone has other than the skill and sympathetic treatment I received at the highly skilled hands of this surgeon they are not getting the best possible treatment

I hate to leave a negative review, but this was not acceptable treatment of my husband and I am furious. I had the exact same treatment my husband came to this doctor for, at a private hospital in Nottingham. Firstly my specialist wore a suit, not jeans. I don't meet my business clients in jeans, it doesn't show the kind of respect I expect to give, or receive. If I am effectively putting my life in someone's hands, I want to know they are a safe pair of hands and appreciate the gravity of their patient's fear and anxiety. Casual dress wouldn't make me feel safe or respected. Secondly, when I had my treatment (Spire Nottingham) my surgeon came to see me beforehand, in my room, to explain what would happen. Then he can to see me afterward my op to tell me his preliminary findings and explain my medications. This doctor did neither - we didn't see him on the day and we were told to go home and just wait. That may be great on the NHS, but you pay a LOT for private healthcare and you should get a lot. Finally, my husband was no better post op and was told "make another appointment if you want to" For what? So you can not help him again at the cost of thousands of pounds? No thank you! We have now found an incredible surgeon who listens, explains and hopefully will help us going forward. Because of these things I could not possibly recommend this man. If a super relaxed (and distant) vibe is your thing - this is definitely the chap for you.

I had to have major bowel surgery last year. I could not have received better care anywhere. Than that I had from Mr Fawole, his pre-operative and post-operative care, followed by his bedside manner was second to none. In short, he is an excellent surgeon.

I had a hard cyst on my lower back and Shina Fawole removed it for me under local anaesthetic. He was very kind and made me feel like i safe in his care.
