I have been a patient of Mr Farquhson and his team for a number of years. I have a rare and complex condition of the bowel and have needed support, surgery and guidance. I can only say that without him and his team I would not have the quality of life, the confidence to know what I need to do when I need medical help. He and his team have performed several procedures on me, and I would like to mirror the comments of others. Mr Farquhson lays it all out, the risks, recovery and what is best for you as a patient. He will do all that he can, to do what is right for the individual and your case and what and how it affects you. I can honestly say I have lived my life with abdominal pain and fear and it has and will continue to be a struggle. BUT, I have now got quality of life and faith and 100%trust in Mr Farquhson and his team and highly recommended him to people. Thank you. For everything

Thought I would add a review. Having suffered bowel trouble privately, in desperation went to my Doctor in Oct 2019. Immediately referred to Mr Farquharson. Having had scans etc. Met with him again. I was completely at the end of my tether with the constant pain and bowel urgency. He advised me about all the risks, which were real and really risky. I was prepared to do anything. Had my Surgery on Feb 14th 2020. Just before the Covid 19 Pandemic. My life has been transformed, He himself was amazing. His team were amazing. His predications on recovery...spot on. This procedure is not something to be taken lightly. And for the first 5 weeks I kept asking myself, why have you opted to do this? As Mr Farquharson has said the surgery may not help...I fact could even worsen my problems. I was desperate! so took the risk of what may happen to me. I can not explain the difference it has made to everyday living and being able to function normally. Instead of living life in fear and being almost housebound, I can function normally. Mentally I am still fearful. But that will lesson. It could also have gone another way and I am forever grateful it has not. Mr Farquharson has been wonderful. His team have been amazing . There are no guarantee's in this procedure I understood that. I was given all the possible outcomes but was past caring. This is a brilliant Doctor who has a brilliant team. The best Valentine's day gift I have ever had. Thank you always. Please, Please Stay Safe all of you. Patients like myself really, really need you.!!

Last year I had two procedures performed by Mr Farquharson one in June and the second in September for a complicated condition Rectal Supra Fistula, each time I was informed of what to expect and what he could achieve at both surgeries. After my second surgery Mr Farquharson informed me in the recovery room that he had been able to treat my condition better than he had first expected and was very pleased with the results. I am delighted to say that I was discharged at my post operative appointment and am leading a normal life thanks to Mr Farquharson and his team.

Firstly, apologies for late reply. I am the husband of Gwyneth Megan Jones. She, myself and our daughter, Lynne Hill (who is a Theatre Staff Nurse) met you on 4th February. We had met you on a number of occasions previously and you operated on my wife for Bowel Cancer on 3th December last year. The times we met you we were very impressed with your manner and professionalism and cannot thank you enough for all you have done. Many thanks. Hope this is suitable for a thank you. ve Jones

I found Mr Farquhar's to be very focussed on finding what was wrong with me and dealing with it in the best way for me. He explained everything and was always respectful, professional and caring. He gave me the best care and my trust in him helped me through a difficult situation.
