After many years of pain in my ankle I was referred to Mr Ajis. Since day one I can only say that his skill and attention to detail is outstanding. After a full examination, his suggestion was we try an Ankle Arthroscopy as this was the least intrusive option but he did say it may not work. While it did help for a while the original problem soon returned and I knew that the total ankle replacement was going to be the only option to permanently fix the issue. I must admit I was not sure about this level of surgery and the recovery time required but Mr Ajis was very confidant it would fix my problem and I would soon be back on my feet and pain free. I agreed to the operation and I knew I was in good hands. We managed to get the operation done in December 2020 despite all the Covid dramas and restrictions. The operation has been a total success and I can not recommend Mr Ajis and all the people that work with him highly enough. It is now mid Feb and I am walking well, even got back on my bike yesterday. Good job Mr Ajis thankyou. Kevin Baker.

Thank you for sparing some time to leave a review of your experience. Covid was a difficult time for scheduling surgery and it certainly wasn't easy. I am glad we could get the job done for you in a safe and expedient manner. I hope your ankle goes from strength to strength. No doubt I'll be watching you on the Tour de France soon!

Mr Ajis, operated on my foot to straighten my toe on 25 November 2020. I am so pleased as my toe is completely straight now. I haven't experienced any pain whatsoever from the day it was operated on and I am now wearing my ordinary shoes once again. Mr Ajis, explained everything that was going to happen, during the operation and afterwards came to see me to make sure that I was alright. So thank you once again Mr Ajis, it was a pleasure being one of your patients!

I needed to see someone due to experiencing pain in both my feet this had been on going for 6-9 months. Following various suggestions revinsoles and footwear with no change I visited my GP who agreed I should see someone. Fortunately I had private cover and managed to get an appointment with Mr Ajis within a week. A diagnosis was made on my first consultation with him and various treatment options were discussed. We agreed to move forward with surgery to the back of my legs, knee level and the base of my heels. After pre op assessment and COVID-19 tests, day surgery was carried out, one leg at a time with a 6 week gap in between. Within 3 weeks of the 6 week period of the operation pain reduced and my mobility began to return, and now 14 weeks on I am pain free and walking 8 km a day and back to a normal life.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback. Heel pain can be tricky to treat but thankfully we found the right treatment combination that worked for you. It has been a challenge to keep surgery going during this pandemic, but with the right support from the hospitals I work with it and a little understanding from patients like yourself, it can be done safely. So pleased you are now now pain free and back to normal. All the very best.

I contacted Mr Ajis after a year or so of worsening foot pain. I had seen doctors, had x-rays and seen podiatrists on the NHS but unfortunately I only came away with insoles and instructions to walk a little better. I was told it was Plantar fasciitis. Almost a year later I was fortunate enough to be able to go private. From my first consultation Mr Ajis immediately had another diagnosis that no one else had mentioned. Sure enough, he was right and after imaging confirmed this, a bone spur in the heel was removed with surgery. The recovery time was a little longer than I anticipated but totally worth it as I've gone from daily pain and a constant limp to running 5k several times a week, just a few months after the surgery! It feels miraculous. Communication with Emily was fast, always helpful and being under Mr Ajis's care was always reassuring – he listens, understands and is kind and attentive. No wonder when I waited for appointments at Goring I could always hear all the nurses and staff saying hello to him everywhere he went!

It was lovely hearing your feedback and thanks a lot for sparing the time to leave it. Sometimes we have to think outside the box but in your case the end result was worth it. '...operation to 5k...' I am very impressed with your determination and resolve. Thanks again and wishing you all the best for the future.
