Very pleasant, confident person who put both my wife and myself at ease during the consultations.

Rude and arrogant would not listen to a word I said in fact I couldn’t get a word in he talked over me every time I spoke. This was my second attempt at a consultation with him at the first I was totally dismissed after I tried telling him some of my symptoms and said I need referring to a different hospital. Had my 2nd consultation with him at the hospital he made the appointment with to yet again be treated like I was inadequate by him..all he kept reffering to were scans from 3 years previous I have since had surgery and things have changed greatly since but he wasn’t interested in discussing anything with me just wanted me out of his office ASAP. No examination no questions regarding my symptoms or pain in fact Mr Sharma it’s agony every single day had you bothered to listen to me...very disappointed as I really thought from his reviews that I was hopeful he would help. No questions no examination just the usual when a doctor can’t be bothered probably IBS but how would you know you never looked at me or asked any symptoms....very very disappointed only glad I didn’t go private would want a refund

Response from Mr Abhiram Sharma

very very disappointed by this review and really hope and believe that none of my patients should feel this way. I cannot go into any clinical details here but I was only being very very honest and feel that I have made the appropriate decision to not offer surgery and refer to the appropriate person. Apologies that you felt this way

What a charming gentleman. He is strait forward, honest, and is prepared to listen. I was a worried man I will tell you when I was told that I had Bowel Cancer. I didn't know Mr Sharma, nor had I met him until after my operation. He put me at my ease, and visited me regularly whilst was in hospital, with follow up visits at his clinic at Withington Hospital. There is no beating about the bush, he tells you everything you should know, and is keen on receiving questions. As to the future who knows, but I will say this, Mr Sharma is a credit to his profession, and I would have no hesitancy in placing you in his hands.

Mr Sharma gave me great confidence beforehand and, five weeks after my inguinal hernia repair, I feel that the confidence was more than justified. Having had a repair of the left side, there is a small possibility that the other side may need future treatment - I would have no hesitation in going straight to him.
