As soon as we met Mr Sharma in person, my wife And I knew we made the right decision to appoint Mr Sharma as my surgeon for my stoma reversal and hernia repair. The team he had gathered to care for me on the day were brilliant and the care I received from the Critical Care Unit team and on the ward was amazing. I had some post op complications which could not be foreseen and the compassion shown by Mr Sharma at the time certainly put my mind at rest. A treatment plan for my post op complications was put into place very quickly. I was kept informed at all times and my wife was constantly updated. The call late at night after my initial surgery to update my family was a lovely touch and certainly put my families mind at rest. Following my stay in CCU for 4days I was discharged to the ward for 3 days and was discharged to home. I was anticipated to have a stay of 10 days. Thank you for your amazing care and for making a huge difference in my well-being.

Having the opportunity to visit Mr Sharma in his clinic today, there was no rush today. He took the time to listen to my concerns about the operation and put my mind at rest. He is a very conscientious consultant and if you have him as a consultant, you are in great hands.

From the day my colon cancer was diagnosed, Mr. Sharma was professional and spoke to me - not at me. He told me clearly in words I could understand exactly what he recommended. I agreed to him laparoscopically removing part of my colon with the tumour and joining the small bowel to the remainder of the large bowel. I had the surgery 6 weeks ago. I was treated with the upmost respect and care by Mr. Sharma and his team throughout. I met Mr. Sharma for my six week check-up yesterday when he advised me it was stage 2 cancer which had been successfully removed. No ongoing treatment was required only regular scans and blood tests. Mr. Sharma is a very competent and clever surgeon and I would totally trust him with my life. May I also mention Helen the Macmillan Colorectal Nurse who attended clinic with Mr. Sharma. Helen was reassuring and I can contact her at any time should I have any concerns. May I just say how lucky I was to have Mr. Sharma as my Surgeon. I can't think of anything that could be improved upon - my care was exceptional Thank you so much Mr. Sharma.

Mr.Sharma operated personally on my 87 year old mother. From the initial diagnosis he has been brilliant. He rang me after the 6 hour surgery, he met with me on discharge from hospital, he again personally returned a call about a query I had. He is a lovely, caring person who treats his patients with compassion.

I met Mr Sharma after being refused treatment for being high risk by another consultant. When I requested a second opinion I was pointed in the direction of Mr Sharma for a reversal of hartsman and multiple hernia repairs . Mr Sharma is one of the nicest people I have met , he sat with me and discussed all the options and sent for all relevant tests to see if the procedure could be done. He explained all the risks and outcomes fully and made sure I was, at all times, aware of what could potentially be the outcome but was super positive that everything would be perfect. The surgery was done and all I can say is not only was the stoma reversed but my previous scars from my emergency surgery were also tided up. I am in great health now and can't thank Mr Sharma enough for giving me my life back . I would seriously recommend Mr Sharma to anyone who has been referred to his care . He is polite, courteous, professional and a superb surgeon . Once again, thank you so much for giving me my life back .
