I chose Mr Sarela because of his career history. I had my consultation and came with a list of questions but once he talked through the whole process, my mind was at ease and I decided to book my gastric sleeve. After a few cancellations, not due to anyone’s fault, my operation went ahead without a hitch. Recovery was fast and I was kept in contact with the hospital and my nutritionist. I’m only 6 weeks post op but I haven’t had any issues and feel great! Really grateful for the support from Spire and would definitely recommend Mr Sarela.

Dr Abeezar Sarela listened to what I had to say and my concerns, he took them all onboard and guided me in the beat direction to go in. He explained all and gave me the best support pre and post surgery.

I had a gastric sleeve with Mr sarela a little over a year ago. On my initial consultation I was extremely anxious I’ve been overweight a lot of my life and have been told from numerous doctors to “eat less and move more it’s that simple” I thought he would judge me the same however he was completely the opposite he was understanding, compassionate and listened. He discussed all options so I could make an informed decision and from that consultation I trusted him and knew this was the surgery I wanted to go ahead with. To put it simply Mr sarela has changed my life I am happier and healthier than I have ever been my only regret is not doing it sooner .

He was informative about the surgical options and explained the pros and cons of each procedure. This prepared me to go away and research a preferred course of action. He was there to reassure me and answer any questions on the day of surgery. Shortly after the operation he again provided a full level of support.
