14th April 2024

After eight years and much deliberation, I decided to have a breast reduction operation due to not feeling comfortable with their size, which was contributing to ongoing lower back problems, and other health conditions. I couldn't get this treatment on the NHS hence me going private. I finally got the go-ahead and had my operation commenced on Saturday 30th March. From start to finish, Mr Kasem and the staff at Chelsfield Hospital made me feel comfortable, fully explained the procedures to me and were extremely kind, gentle and attentive. Dr Kasem saw me in October 2023 for my first consultation. He/Chelsfield staff didn't want any payment (unlike other hospitals), were professional, kind and put me at ease straight away which helped as I was extremely nervous and very conscious about showing my top half in front of strangers. Dr Kasem was very intricate in explaining fully all the different procedures/processes/methods and was very reassuring. Fast forward to the 30th of March. I was admitted to Chelsfield Park Hospital at midday, the staff were brilliant. I was so nervous about being put under local anaesthetic but again, they reassured me, were attentive answered any questions I had and fully explained all the procedures I/we had to go through before entering the operation room. When examining/marking me up Dr Kasem was amazing, he entered my room full of smiles, kind words, reassurance and confidence which helped settle my nerves. He reassured me which helped alleviate any anxieties I had. After the operation, the difference was amazing. After coming around, Mr Kasem joked he had input the implantations correctly and they looked amazing. I did have to think to myself "Wait a minute, I wasn't supposed to have had implantations, I was having a breast reduction", then he laughed and showed me the result. Although it was indeed a breast reduction from 34 FF/H to 34DD, they did look like I had implantations, they were that good. I was gobsmacked. The next day, Mr Kasem, came to check up on me and I was able to see his work in its entirety. One word is 'incredible'. I was speechless. My nipples were perk/upright as opposed to facing south and my breasts were upright, rounded and evenly shaped. I cannot tell you the difference was/is incredible. I did have a little 'happy cry' to myself later on when I was alone again in my room. Two weeks later, they are feeling wonderful. My lower back pain has already massively subsided and I'm feeling great. The recovery/pain after the op was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I received pain relief, and other garments/things to assist in my recovery and the hospital staff have phoned me to check in on me. I've been back each week to see Mr Kasem for check-ups and have my wounds re-dressed etc. I cannot tell you how elated I am with my new breasts. The staff, Mr Kasem and the before and after care have been amazing. What an experience. To anyone, thinking of having the procedure, 'DO IT', and Mr Kasem and the Chelsfield Park Hospital staff are definitely the people for the job. Mr Kasem, came highly recommended to me and I can't recommend him highly enough. Two words to Mr Kasem and the Chelsfield Park Hospital staff 'Thank You'!

The only doctor I have met that puts the patient's health and interest before his own! Example: He gave me his personal mobile number after our very first consultation to give me added reassurance. There are no 'working hours' he sometimes calls in the middle of the night to answer questions or to convey pathology results. His dedication is unparalleled, and his professional expertise and experience profound. Mr Kasem covers at least 10 breast surgeries a week, hence, you can rest assured that he would leave nothing to chance and surgery results are impressive. He follows a clear step-by-step, one-bridge-at-a-time approach, to prevent information overload, which can be very beneficial to patients who've been initially diagnosed with Cancer. Make sure you don't go googling your situation, as he WILL tell you off :). Highly, highly recommended and the best choice I have made in a long long time!

I can't fault my experience with Mr Kasem. Professional, honest, open and realistic. I am absolutely delighted with the results of my operation 5 weeks ago. From start to finish his carefree his patients and the time and pride he takes in his work has been faultless. Highly recommend, my only regret is not seeing him and having surgery years ago.

I have seen Mr Abdul Kasem twice now for a mammogram and ultrasound and both times he has been amazing. Very communicative and caring. He also came in early and squeezed me in when I had a lump referral so I wouldn't have to wait a week. He is such a super consultant and I would recommend him in a heartbeat.
